NOTICE OF RACE
US 12 NCR 2020
The 2020 US 12 Class National Championship Regatta (NCR) will be held in The Villages, Florida on November 6-7, 2020. This event is hosted by The Villages R/C Model Sailboat Club AMYA # 208. The site, Lake Mira Mar, is located in the Spanish Springs area of The Villages.
Rules: The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) as modified by Appendix E, the Sailing Instructions, the US 12 class rules and other appropriate documents.
Eligibility: The regatta is open to all boats of the US 12 class which are properly registered with the Class and comply with AMYA class rules and whose owners are current members of AMYA or their respective national organization..

Friday – 10:00 – 11:30 Registration, weighing, measurement and free practice
11;30 Skippers meeting
12:00 Racing begins
15:30 Last race of day
17:30 Dinner at Ruby Tuesday (optional-dutch treat)
Saturday – 09:30 – 09:45 Skippers meeting
09:45 Racing resumes
12:00 – 12:45 Awards

Our lake is within easy walking distance to the Spanish Springs area which has many restaurants and shopping with lodging available at several motels.
Entry: Eligible boats may be entered by completing the Entry Form (on the website) and submitting it prior to October 1, 2020 with the entry fee indicated on the entry form. An email confirmation of entry is sufficient to meet the October 1st deadline, but the form must be received at least one week prior to the event. If room is available, late entries may be accepted with a $5 late fee. Entries will be limited to 30 boats. Warming! This event is scheduled to coincide with the Craft Fair at the Villages. Make hotel reservations early!
Sailing Instructions: Sailing Instructions will be posted on the club website.
Rule Changes: RRS rule changes, if any, may be posted on the website and described at the skipper’s meeting(s).
Courses: Courses will be set based on the prevailing conditions and announced prior to the start of each race.
Measurement: Boats entered may be weighed and/or measured for class rules compliance at the regatta site before the first race. Any measurement specified by the class rules may be checked by the RC prior to, during and up to 30 minutes after the last race of the regatta.
