12th Annual Villages Soling One Meter Regatta
The Villages R/C Model Boat Club Annual Soling One Meter Regatta is held on Lake Mira Mar, The Villages, FL.
Lake Mira Mar is located in the heart of The Villages behind the Spanish Springs Town Square. The race venue is
within walking distance of 4 hotels, and Spanish Springs Town Square with 12 restaurants, 19 shops, a movie
theater and a bowling alley. There is evening entertaiment on the square for listening and dancing pleasure.

This year the regatta is being held on the same weekend as the Villages Craft Festival. The Festival attracts many crafters from accross the country covering folk art, pottery, jewelry, paintings and much more. Admission is free and open to the public.
The sailing venue itself has ample parking within 20 yards of the pond shoreline. Trees provide shade from the sun. There is a short walk to restroom. The AMYA sanctioned regatta will be held on November 7th and 8th, 2015. Deadline for entries is October 30th, 2015. The regatta is limited to 24 boats.
All registrants will be required to show a current AMYA membership card at regatta registration. All boats will need to be duly registered and haveofficial sail numbers assigned by the Soling One Meter class secretary. Sail numbers should be on both the main and jib.
The regatta will begin at 8:00 AM Saturday November 7th and will end by 2:00 PM Sunday November 8th. Trophies
will beawarded for the first five places. Chevrons (green) will be awarded for the first three places.
Entry fee is $35.00 (+ $5.00 for each guest). Breakfast for sailors will be provided both days. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. A Dutch treat dinner will be held at a local restaurant on Saturday.
